Well, as most of you know we had a devastating tornado sweep through Jackson County a couple weeks ago. The aftermath was tragic and so many homes were destroyed. My aunt and uncle live in Pisgah with their 3 kids and I was so relieved to know that they were okay! Unfortunately, not every family was that lucky. Many families are having to start over from scratch and rebuild their lives physically and emotionally.
Saturday morning, some Presidential Hosts and other members of the school are going to Pisgah/Rosalie to work and help as much as we can. We were lucky the tornado didn’t get this bad around my house, and I know I would be devastated if something would have happened. Many people are going to have nightmares of this terror for a long time. I heard of one girl who said every time she closes her eyes, she just sees the tornado sweeping her house up and completely destroying it. Not everything can be fixed, but there are those few things that can be.
If you are reading this and you go to NACC, come out Saturday and help. You never know when it may be your home that gets destroyed and you need the help…
Hope you’re having a reat week
Hi,
Regarding the message you wrote about the tornado victims. I would just like to say that it is enlightening to realize that there are still good people in this world. Unfortunatly, I didn’t get to read your message until too late to help participate in the clean-up. Thanks, for being a caring person. Alana Wills
